Biancolilla Centinara is a variety of olive that was discovered in the wild by Bona Furtuna's Chief Scientist, Pasquale 'Mimmo' Marino. Mimmo cloned the root stock from one of the two trees left in the wild and planted roughly 5000 at La Furtuna Estate to preserve this variety from going extinct.
As Bona Furtuna is the sole commercial producer of this varietal, we have created a single varietal extra virgin olive oil to showcase this olive's distinctive Sicilian nuances. All of Bona Fortuna's olive oils are estate grown, milled, and bottled to ensure the utmost quality is preserved in every bottle.
